There
are more than 25 years that Delma Godoy is a plastic artist, who expresses
herself through the ceramic art and another materials. With a work direct to
the research of new material and shapes, the artist is developing an innovative
way in the national art all along her career.
In her more recent works, she uses fifty types of minerals founded in the different places of Brazil, which were researched in various temperatures. The results are refractory lands of colours and totally unknown textures.

"In my work, I associate the materiality with the silent sound of the form.
It's through this process that I search for the exact starting point, but
completely untemporal. I believe that the creation of our universe came from this
silence. I vizualize the way of the wind, silently sculpting, throughout time,
landscapes and worlds. I try to transport myself to this path, creating
superposed erosions that fit into a ludic game where the sight finds this mute
work. Inert but at the same time fluttery."
Delma is a Brazilian Artist born in Curitiba. She's been exploring ceramic for
over 20 years on a research for new materials. More recently, she has also been
intensively painting and working on iron sculptures.
